THE new Ford Puma compact SUV will cost from £20,845 when it is released in Britain early next year.

That price tag is for a Puma Titanium model, which features segment-first driver and passenger lumbar massage seats as standard, in addition to advanced wireless charging.

The launch line-up from the blue oval badged marque will also include high-specification Titanium First Edition models priced from £22,295 that will come with equipment such as intelligent adaptive cruise control, rear view camera, heated seats and heated steering wheel as standard.

Those versions of the Puma will be powered by 1.0-litre EcoBoost Hybrid 125PS engines, while the Puma First Editions are also available in ST-Line X trims which add sporty interior and exterior design cues and sports suspension, alloy pedals, full digital instrument cluster and LED headlamps.

Starting from £25,195, the ST-Line X First Edition includes a hands-free power tailgate, 18in alloy wheels and a B&O Premium Audio sound system and are powered by the 125PS engine or a 155PS mild hybrid derivative.

The much anticipated Puma offers class-leading luggage capacity of 456 litres and has a modular loading system to maximise its practicality.

A higher specification Puma ST-Line X First Edition Plus will be available to order from £27,345 with the 1.0-litre EcoBoost Hybrid 155PS unit and that model also comes with a panoramic sunroof and 19in alloys.

Ford of Britain passenger vehicle director Lisa Brankin said: “Alongside our new mild hybrid powertrains, best-in-class loadspace and striking design, the new Ford Puma offers exceptional comfort and technology for compact crossover customers.”
