WATCH - The moment Robbie Benson sealed FAI Cup win for St Patrick's Athletic

Robbie Benson's ice-cool penalty settled a tense Dublin derby FAI Cup final as St Patrick's Athletic were crowned cup winners for the fourth time.

It's the second time in seven years the Saints have won Ireland's premier national cup competiton after they broke a 53-year drought in 2014.

A stadium-record for an FAI Cup final of 37,126 packed into the Aviva Stadium as they local rivals remained deadlocked after 120 minutes.

Goals from Chris Forrester and Rory Feely either side of half time in extra time saw the tie finish 1-1 and a shoot-out was required to separate the sides on the day.

The Athletic were the first to blink as Forrester saw his penalty saved by James Talbot to leave Bohs 3-2 in front after three spot-kicks apiece had been taken.

Tyreke Wilson and Keith Ward each missed the target, Ward hitting the top of the bar, either side of an emphatic Jay McClelland strike.

That left Benson with the opportunity to shoot himself into St Patrick's Athletic folklore, and he squeezed his penalty past Talbot to send the support behind the goal into raptures.
