Watch the moment Amber and Greg were announced as Love Island winners

She looked absolutely stunned at the result but Gateshead's Amber Gill is leaving Love Island as a winner after triumphing in Monday night's final with Greg O'Shea.

It was Tommy & Molly-Mae that were the bookies tip to win this year, having been favourites for weeks, but in a big upset Amber became the show's first Geordie winner, when she and Irish rugby player Greg topped the public vote.

With Michael, and all the drama he brought out of the way, Amber and Greg's connection grew and grew and in his romantic poem to her ahead of the live final Greg paid tribute to his "Newcastle radgie." Who said romance was dead eh?

Reaction to Amber winning

In response, Amber said she thought "there was never left" for her in the Love Island villa until Greg walked in and thanked him for being so sweet with her, building her back up and helping her get her smile back.

Amber ended her heartfelt speech by saying "there must be something in the water as the ice queen is melting."

As Caroline Flack announced the result Amber exclaimed "WHAT?!!!" while, looking on, Ovie, who finished third with India, looked absolutely delighted for her.
