Everyone's favourite baking show, the Great British Bake Off, returns to the screens tonight (Tuesday, August 27) with 13 new contestants eager for a slice of success in the tent.
But why make do with a half-baked evening sitting in front of Channel 4 at home when you can be watching the Paul Hollywood handshakes, soggy bottoms and technical challenges with like-minded baking fans on a big screen AND eating cake.
Nottingham baker Fran Jesson, of Oozee Boozee Bakes, has teamed up with The Playwright to give fans the ultimate GBBO viewing experience.
Enthusiasts can enjoy all the live action in the pub's movie room in Shakespeare Street (formerly the Orange Tree).
The show starts at 8pm but the doors open from 7pm to give viewers the chance to relax, have a yummy Oozee Boozee treat and even a cocktail or two.
There's also a competition which will be revealed on the night.
Fran, whose shop at Sneinton Market specialises in alcoholic cakes, said: "This is a free event but bring some pennies if you want some drinks and yummy treats. Just bring friends with you for a nice evening full of cake and booze.
"Keep your diaries free for the quarter finals, semi finals and the final as we plan to have the cinema room booked for these too."
Amongst this year's contestants are Dan, a 32-year-old support worker from Rotherham, Jamie, a 20-year-old Sports Science student and part-time waiter, from Surrey and Priya, a 34-year-old marketing consultant, from Leicester.
