With their field goal unit in shambles in 2019, the Tennessee Titans were forced put up six points on all red zone opportunities in order to avoid their Achilles’ heel.
And did they ever convert.
Once quarterback Ryan Tannehill took over as the starter in Week 7, the Titans’ touchdown to field goal ratio in the red zone was 31:1.
In all, Tennessee scored touchdowns on 34.6 percent of their drives with Tannehill as the main man, as opposed to kicking a field goal on just 3.1 percent of their drives in that span.
