NEW DELHI: In a never-seen-before toss technique, Kolkata Knight Riders skipper Shreyas Iyer twirled around while giving the coin a flip in the IPL Final against Sunrisers Hyderabad in Chennai on Sunday.
In the bizarre incident as Iyer went to throw the coin in the air, he turned around after flipping it in the air and completed a whole circular motion before the coin hit the ground.
Soon after the flip of the coin, Iyer also had a bit of a smile on his face as well which left the internet puzzled.
However, the coin toss still didn't land in his favor as Pat Cummins won it and opted to bat first in the Final.
Sunrisers made one change from the last match, bringing in Shahbaz Ahmed in place of Abdul Samad, while KKR retained their eleven from the Qualifier 1.
KKR have earlier won the title two times, while SRH are seeking their second IPL trophy.
