Watch: Shaheen Afridi's insane four-wicket first over in T20 Blast

NEW DELHI: Star Pakistani pacer Shaheen Afridi produced one of the finest first overs in T20 cricket's history on Friday as he floored the opposition with a lethal opening burst, claiming four wickets.

Wreaking havoc up-top against Birmingham Bears in a T20 Blast game, Shaheen became the first bowler ever to grab four wickets in the first over of a T20 match.

As Birmingham Bears began their chase of 169, Shaheen, representing Notts Outlaws, decimated the opposition top-order. Starting off with 5 wides, Shaheen got his radar spot on the very next ball, producing a dreadful in-swinging yorker that trapped Alex Davies right in front and brought him to his knees.

Shaheen then made it two-in-two with another perfect in-swinging yorker as this time he knocked over the leg stump of a shuffling Chris Benjamin. The pacer then gave away a couple of singles on the third and fourth balls of the over which were followed by two wickets off the final two balls.

On the fifth ball of the Shaheen over as Dan Mousley drove through covers, Olly Stone plucked a stunner out of no where to make it three down for Birmingham Bears. On the final ball, Shaheen uprooted Ed Barnard's off-stump with a full length delivery as he ended the insane over with perfection.

At the end of the first over, Birmingham Bears' score card read 7/4 as Shaheen destruction got Trent Bridge crowd on it's feet.

Birmingham Bears however managed to win the contest by 2 wickets.
