Royals catcher Martin Maldonado and Pirates catcher Elias Diaz both made Father’s Day fashion statements on Sunday, adding clip-on ties to their chest protectors.
Diaz kept his tie nice and clean while Maldonado used his to show love to the men in his life, writing the names of his dad, brother and a few friends on the accessory. Both players got their ties from equipment company All-Star.
Could the necktie set the tone for bigger and better uniform additions on future Father’s Days? I sure hope so.
