Maybe instead of “Time Lord,” Boston Celtics swingman Robert Williams III should have a nickname that describes his ability to explode off the ground to perform jaw-dropping aerial feats.
Williams put his ‘bunnies’ on full display early in the fourth quarter, as he received a lob from rookie guard Javonte Green (not shabby when it comes to aerial acrobatics himself) and seemed to float upwards at an impossible height, throwing down a thunderous two-handed dunk as he descended.
As you might expect, the Celtics bench was on their feet after the dunk while Williams had a nice talk with the stanchion. The Spurs on the floor looked at a loss for words, and understandably so.
The NBA is filled with the world’s best athletes but some are a head above the rest of the class. Literally.
