Landlocked Nottingham is once again preparing to be transformed into a mini-Skeg as work on the beach continues.
This morning (Tuesday, July 9), the Old Market Square took delivery of 120 tonnes of sand as City-by-the-Sea takes shape.

As well as the beach, the Mellors Group crew are busy installing the paddling pool, rides, bar and everything else we've come to expect from the annual summer seaside installation, but also the brand new VIP Playa Club with pool pods and day beds - and a pop-up restaurant headed up by MasterChef: The Professionals winner Laurence Henry.
The new addition features a marquee with a retractable roof, a world first made especially for the occasion. Among the rides is Europe's largest reverse bungee that will fling those brave enough to strap in 50 metres into the air.
For the first time, attractions such as the hook a duck are being moved to Long Row.
Thirty workmen have been on site since Sunday, June 30 with little under two weeks to construct the whole beach.
It will be ready for fun on Friday, July 12 and run for six weeks right through the school holidays.
City-by-the-Sea opening times and dates:
Friday, July 12 to Sunday, September 1
Monday - Thursday: 10am – 11pm
Fridays and Saturdays: 10am – 11.30pm.
Sundays: 10am - 10pm
