WATCH: NASCAR driver to get a Richard Petty tattoo after Twitter wager

Bubba Wallace learned a lesson on Twitter this week: You cannot leave loopholes in Twitter wagers.

The NASCAR driver posted on Twitter that, after a surprise autograph on his arm from Richard Petty — the NASCAR legend who’s also his boss — he’d get it tattooed on himself if his tweet got 43,000 retweets.

But Wallace failed to put a time limit on the wager until it was too late, the next day claiming it was only a 24-hour bet. So after several fans and fellow drivers called him out on trying to back out, he stuck to his word.

Wallace said he won’t get the signature tattooed on his forearm, where Petty originally put his signature, but he will get the tattoo and Petty himself will tag along to the tattoo parlor when he gets it.

Twitter wins again.
