Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) have managed to put together a string of five wins in seven matches so far in IPL 2024 under the captaincy of Shreyas Iyer to become one of the frontrunners, besides table toppers Rajasthan Royals, to seal a place in the playoffs.

The skipper himself hasn't been at his fluent best, scoring 190 runs in 7 innings at a strike rate of 126.66. But with the team winning consistently, the spirits in the KKR camp remain high, which highlighted in a video clip shared by the KKR franchise on social media.
Being interviewed by anchor and comedian Cyrus Broacha, Iyer is asked about the reason behind the swagger in his walk.
While Iyer's teammate Nitish Rana said it's been there since their under-19 days, Iyer came up with a reply that left Cyrus and Rana in splits.
"Ye chidate the mujhe (they used to tease me)," said Iyer, looking at Nitish. "This is natural. Aisa nahi ke kisi to dekh ke maine kiya, aise hi chalta hu mai chhote se (it's not that I copied anyone, I walk like this since my childhood)," said Iyer.
He added: "Shayad mere toes mei thoda bounce hai jiski wajah se aise lagta hai ke mai aise chal raha hu (maybe there is some bounce in my toes because of which my walk appears like that)."
The trio, including Iyer himself, couldn't help but laugh out loud.
