Michigan State is in the midst of a very intense Big Ten matchup with Purdue. Both teams came into the contest with a 2-3 record and needing another win early in conference play.
The Spartans jumped out to an early lead against the Boilermakers, using their stifling defense to help cure some offensive woes, and getting off to a strong start for the second game in a row.
Leading 18-8 with just under seven minutes to play in the first half, the Spartans found another huge burst of momentum when Malik Hall found Julius Marble with a huge alley-oop that would have had Spartan Nation blowing the roof off of the Breslin Center. Watch it here:
