A lot of things need to go right (or wrong, depending on which way you are looking at it) for a player the caliber of Zion Williams to end up on a team other than the one that drafted him. Yet, a lot of the issues that lead to Anthony Davis moving on from the New Orleans Pelicans seem to be playing themselves out with that franchise with the second transcendent talent they have managed to draft in a decade.
We are likely still a way off from Williamson asking out of his current situation. But, rumbles of displeasure, disconnectedness between the player and the front office and a desire to be in a bigger market are all percolating to the surface via the local and national NBA media.
