Watch hair-raising moment Scottish driver goes wrong way on roundabout

Hair-raising footage has captured the moment a driver went the wrong way round a roundabout in Fife.

The clip was shared by local traffic and travel page Fife Jammer Locations, who urged the driver: "Hand your licence in".

In the shocking nine-second video, a car can be seen heading into oncoming traffic on the busy roundabout in Dunfermline.

Angry motorists can be heard sounding their horns at the driver, who was in the inside lane and doesn't initially turn off.

The roundabout, on which the dangerous manoeuvre took place, is directly outside Dunfermline Police Station, on Holyrood Place.

Hundreds of locals hit out at the reckless driver after the shocking clip was shared to social media.

Many people just couldn't understand "how the hell" it could happen, while others were furious that they "didn't stop".

One person blasted: "They were lucky not to be involved in a head-on crash."

"The worst thing about these situations is they don’t realise there mistake and continue driving the wrong way." another said.

Meanwhile, one person commented: "How is that even possible? And, to actually keep going."

Police Scotland have been contacted for comment.
