Although Georgia won its season opener in blowout fashion over the Vanderbilt Commodores, head coach Kirby Smart was not exactly all smiles after the victory.
“This team has to decide if they want to get better — that’s all I’m asking them — ‘Do you want to get better, or are you just OK being good?’ Smart said. “Good is not going to be good enough.”
It did appear as though the Dawgs may have stepped off the gas slightly after a dominating first quarter, only scoring nine points in the second half. They will need to bring energy more consistently if they are going to compete for a championship this year, as many pundits expect them to do.
