Sometimes you’re in the right place at the right time. That was the case for defensive tackle Haskell Garrett in the second quarter of the Michigan State game.
A pinpoint accurate punt by Drew Christman put the Spartans on their own one yard line. After two runs being stuffed for no gain, MSU quarterback Rocky Lombardi, dropped back to pass from his own endzone. The results were not good for Michigan State.
Haskell was able to get his paw up at just the right time to deflect the pass. The deflection popped the ball straight up in the air and right back down into the soft hands of the OSU defensive lineman.
