CFMoto stole the show at EICMA. Sure, there were a few bikes from other manufacturers that made me stop and tilt my head like a dog trying to figure out what you're saying—Yamaha's all-electric YE-01 and MV Agusta's Brutale—, and tons from upcoming Chinese manufacturers, but the hype around the crowded CFMoto stall was palpable. All it took to be one of the stand-out brands at the show was two bikes.
We finally got to see the home that CFMoto is giving its 997cc 90-degree V4 engine, which it unveiled at EICMA in 2024 in the form of the V4 SR-RR prototype. Although it is just a prototype, we were able to learn a few pretty solid details about it, one being that it'll make around 210 HP when fitted with an Akrapovič system. Even without the unbelievably beautiful Akrapovič system, it'll still produce more than 200 HP and achieve a 1:1 horsepower to KG weight ratio.
Its front wings do look a bit ridiculous because they're gigantic, but when you see them moving up and down, thanks to the tiny actuators CFMoto has fitted, it'll grab your attention. Top this off with semi-active suspension, Brembo Hypure calipers, and a swingarm that looks like it could've been swiped from a MotoGP bike, and you've the machine that broke EICMA in 2025.
CFMoto also filled a gap in its adventure lineup with the 1000MT-X. This is the first full-fat adventure motorcycle we've seen from the brand and should be a hit, considering how well the rest of the MT range has impressed.
The 1000MT-X is powered by an updated version of KTM's latest LC8c 947cc parallel twin-cylinder engine, pumping out 111 HP and 77 lb-ft of torque. Finish this off with Brembo brakes, KYB suspension all around, and a top-tier Bosch electronics suite, and you've got a package that should grab the attention of both on and off-road riders. CFMoto claims the curb weight is 489.4 lbs, which is comparable to or even better than some of the competition.
