WATCH: Cavs‘ Kevin Love takes Robert Williams III out the game

Boston Celtics second-year center Robert Williams III was only on the floor for three minutes when the Celtics took on the Cleveland Cavaliers in their preseason finale, as he took a hard shot to the face on an inadvertent elbow by Cavs power forward Kevin Love.

Williams, who would have benefited from a great showing against Cleveland with Boston’s depth at center presenting Celtics head coach Brad Stevens with tough decisions, would leave the game with concussion-like symptoms.

Williams did not tally any stats in his short stint and when he left the game, the Celtics were down by six points. By the end of the game, in part due to rookie center Vincent Poirier’s impressive play, Boston had defeated the Cavs by 23 points.
