Watch: Buffalo’s Micah Hyde returns Miami’s onside kick for touchdown

The Miami Dolphins were close. So close they could feel an opportunity for victory.

They had closed within 24-21 of the Buffalo Bills Sunday with less than two minutes left. The play on the kickoff? An onside kick, of course.

And it went horribly wrong.

Watch as Micah Hyde takes the onside kick to the house, icing Buffalo’s 31-21 victory and keeping Miami winless.

Brings to mind the 2005 Sun Bowl between UCLA and Northwestern. The Bruins’ Brandon Breazell returned a pair of Wildcat onside kicks for touchdowns.

Against Northwestern, he earned Sun Bowl Special Teams Player of the Game honors … With 2:29 remaining and UCLA holding a 36-31 lead, he grabbed an onside kick and raced 42 yards for a touchdown … With 24 seconds remaining following a Northwestern touchdown, Breazell fielded another onside kick and returned this one 45 yards for his second touchdown .
