Watch as The Killers invite young fan onstage to play drums at Old Trafford gig

A young fan was brought on stage during The Killers' show at Emirates Old Trafford last night. The fan, named Casey, caught the attention of front man Brandon Flowers after holding up a sign in the crowd asking if she could drum for the band.

Casey was then given the chance to show off her skills during the band's performance of fan-favourite hit For Reasons Unknown.

While drumming on stage, Casey received huge cheers from the audience while Flowers could be seen smirking away in praise for the young star.

Following the moment, fans took to social media to share their admiration for Casey and her talents. One said: “Well done Casey you were fantastic!” While another added: “I was there that night.....SHE WAS VERY GOOD.”

Another gig-goer said: “She was amazing. Took it in her stride and looked like she was enjoying it.”

The guest spot came following a similar encounter at the band's Norwich gig earlier this week. 17-year-old student Grace was brought on stage to drum for the band after making a Las Vegas-inspired sign.

Casey's appearance wasn't the only exciting thing to take place during Saturday's show. The band halted their performance after a crowd-surfer appeared to fall down amongst the sea of gig-goers.

A white-haired pensioner, named Billy, was pulled clear as Flowers dropped into the pit to check on his welfare. He then proceed to put his arm around him to rapturous applause.

Later on stage, the singer jokingly asked audience whether Billy should really be crowd surfing at his age.
