Watch as Rangers transfer target Jose Cifuentes in telling LAFC celebration

Rangers transfer target Jose Cifuentes last night scored and assisted in a 3-0 win for LAFC.

However, it wasn't his late strike or assist for Carlos Vela that had fans talking after the league triumph.

Instead, it was Cifuentes' celebration.

The Colombian midfielder netted in stoppage time with a smart strike into the bottom corner after a long ball over the top to assist Vela's opener.

And after hitting his own finish, Cifuentes appeared to shush supporters before putting his fingers in his ears.

The meaning of the celebration is unknown but LAFC fans reckon Cifuentes was out to silence his detractors after facing criticism over his performances.

While others claimed it would be his last goal for the club amid Rangers transfer interest.

One fan wrote: "Cifu read our comments… I guess we’ll have to take them back just for tonight"

Another commented: "Where the Cifu haters at"

And a third added: "His last goal at the club."

LAFC boss Steve Cherundolo Cherundolo said: "There were a number of guys who played to their potential tonight. Cifu did exactly that."

And eagle-eyed fans questioned whether LAFC were hinting at Cifuentes' possible exit with the tagline "One for the road".

One user asked: "Is this an announcement?"

Another said: "If this was his last game, I’m glad he went out on a high note."

And a third simply added: "For the road👀👀"
