Watch: Aaron Donald gets warm send-off from hometown Steelers fans

Aaron Donald wishes his return to Pittsburgh would’ve come with a different result on Sunday as the Rams fell to the Steelers 17-12, but playing in front of his hometown fans was surely something special for him. It was his first time playing an NFL game in the city where he grew up and played college football, also taking the field in front of his mom and family.

After the game, he got a warm send-off from Steelers fans who waited around to see Donald walk through the tunnel. He was even greeted with fans who had his high school and college jerseys in the stands.

Donald took a moment to shake their hands and sign the jerseys, which was a kind gesture by the two-time Defensive Player of the Year after a loss.

Before leaving the stadium, Donald also shared a moment with Ryan Shazier.
