Warriors’ Donte DiVincenzo (hamstring) practices Sunday, won’t play vs. Kings on Monday

During their five-game losing streak, the Golden State Warriors have been missing a key piece off the bench. After suffering a hamstring injury in the third contest of the season, Donte DiVincenzo has missed seven consecutive games and counting for the Warriors.

However, after returning to the Bay Area over the weekend, positive signs are pointing toward DiVincenzo’s return. Although he’s already been ruled out of Monday’s contest against the Sacramento Kings, the Villanova product participated in practice on Sunday.

In his first three games with the Warriors, DiVincenzo averaged five points on 45.5% shooting from the field and 33.3% shooting from long distance with an assist in 14 minutes per game.

Without DiVincenzo, the Warriors have mixed through a different group of players off the bench. Alongside Jordan Poole, Steve Kerr has given minutes to Ty Jerome, Jonathan Kuminga, Moses Moody and Anthony Lamb.

After missing Monday’s contest against the Kings, DiVincenzo will get three days off during the week to nurse his hamstring before the Warriors host the red-hot Cleveland Cavaliers at Chase Center on Friday night.
