Wanted Bristol man Ashley Stevens in custody after overnight arrest

A man wanted by police in Bristol is in custody after being arrested overnight.

Police put out a public appeal yesterday to trace the whereabouts of Ashley Stevens, known to frequent the south Bristol area.

Stevens was wanted in connection with an aggravated vehicle theft in Bristol.

The crime happened in the Whitchurch area of the city on Monday, October 12.

A police spokesman said: “Wanted Ashley Stevens was arrested overnight Saturday 7 to Sunday November 8 in south Bristol following a public appeal to trace him.
