Walker Cup Tee Times: Day 2 Foursomes And Singles

The 50th Walker Cup delivered high drama on Saturday, with a closely fought contest providing an eye-catching final day at Cypress Point.

Comprised of morning foursomes and afternoon singles, Team GB&I took an early 3-1 lead in California, winning the first three foursomes matches 3&1, 3&2 and 1-up.

Although Cameron Adam and Dominic Clemons lost their match 4&2 to Michael La Sasso and Jase Summy, the GB&I team held a two point advantage over the Americans heading into the afternoon.

However, the US side fired back in the eight singles matches, taking 5.5 points from a possible 8, with Niall Shiels Donegan, Connor Graham and Stuart Grehan the only players to score for Team GB&I.

It means that, going into Sunday, the US are just seven points away from retaining the Walker Cup, with the 10-man side needing to reach the 13.5 point mark to keep the trophy for a fifth straight event.

Like we saw on Saturday, Sunday's play will consist of foursomes and singles, with four matches taking place in the morning and all 10-players featuring in the afternoon.

Timing-wise, the foursomes will begin at 11.00am ET, with the singles getting underway at 4.30pm.
