Wales' Rugby World Cup players just arrived home and had the most beautiful welcome from their kids

Wales' Rugby World Cup stars were treated to a lovely welcome after returning home from the Rugby World Cup in Japan.

Family and friends were at the team's Vale of Glamorgan base to greet the players, coaches and staff after their seven weeks in Japan.

Leigh Halfpenny was welcomed home by partner Jess Tumelty and daughter Lily Louise, while team-mates Aled Davies and Aaron Shingler were also greeted with hugs from their delighted children after two months away chasing the Webb Ellis Cup.

George North was greeted by a different kind of admirer - with his two dogs there to welcome him back to home soil.

It was also the chance for players, coaches and staff to share one last moment together as a group - with captain Alun Wyn Jones and skills coach Neil Jenkins sharing a handshake after getting off the bus.

Warren Gatland's men ultimately finished fourth in Japan in the Wales coach's last campaign - losing to South Africa 19-16 in the semi-final before falling to New Zealand in the bronze medal match.
