Vulnerable man missing from his Kilbarchan home

Police are appealing for people to help them trace a vulnerable missing man who’s been missing from his home in Kilbarchan since 8.30am this morning.

John Ramsay, 80, has dementia and may appear confused when approached. He left his home in the town’s Church Street this morning and hasn’t been seen since.

He has no money or mobile phone with him. He sometimes walks long distances but tends to stick to the Kilbarchan and Johnstone areas.

He also travels by bus but doesn’t have his pass with him so police are also appealing to bus drivers to keep an eye out for him should he try to board a bus in the area.

He is 5ft 11in tall with a slim build and was last seen wearing a fawn and blue jacket and blue jeans.

Officers are currently checking CCTV and searching the area for him.

Anyone who sees John or who has any information that can help us find him should contact Renfrew Police Office via 101 quoting reference number 0618 of the 28 May 2019 as soon as you can.
