Von Miller says Broncos are confident going into Chiefs game

Coming off back-to-back wins, Broncos outside linebacker Von Miller was already thinking about facing the Chiefs after Denver’s victory Sunday.

“We’re confident,” Miller said after a 16-0 win over the Titans. “We’ve always been confident when we play the Chiefs at home. We’re going to celebrate this one tonight though for about two hours and then get started on the Kansas City Chiefs.

“They’ve lost two straight so they’ll come in here ready to fight. We’ve got to be able to play our style of football and come out tough.”

Kansas City has dominated the series in the post-Peyton Manning era, winning each of the last seven contests against Denver. Miller said that the Broncos can’t think about that trend on Thursday evening.

“Don’t even worry about it,” the linebacker said. “Just come out there and play y’all’s game. Play Broncos football, 2019 Broncos football. Don’t worry about any of the other years we’ve played them.

“We’ve got a great team as I’ve been saying all year. Offense is playing great for us. Just allow them to play.”

Miller has recorded 20 tackles and 2.5 sacks through six games this season. He will be looking to add to those totals against the Chiefs. Denver is considered a 3.5-point underdog despite playing at home.
