Incompetent Boris Johnson ripping up his own law, a deal he hailed as a great plan taking back control, illustrates once again the PM never got Brexit done.
What he is doing by planning to override a withdrawal agreement with the European Union, which he signed and Parliament passed less than a year ago, is proving he’s flailing around and is totally untrustworthy.
Jeopardising peace in Ireland, flouting another treaty, is telling the world that his word and commitments are worthless – the dangerously reckless behaviour of a PM playing fast and loose with lives and jobs.
We’ve suffered his failings these past six months over coronavirus, his record on deaths and economic damage the worst combination anywhere on the planet, and now he’s letting the country down again on Brexit.
Britain desperately needs a deal with Europe and not only might Johnson fail to get one but this craziness signals to other nations that this PM cannot be trusted.

If they were civilians, fines would be unlikely and jail almost out of the question.
But the forces impose the strictest codes of behaviour.
When personnel are sent to war zones and lives depend on teamwork, discipline is vital.
The harsh sentences will be controversial outside the Army. But not so much inside.
