Voice of the Mirror: End to care home heartbreak in sight but safety must be priority

One of the worst aspects of Covid has been the way care home residents were left isolated from their loved ones.

Before the virus struck, visitors often made all the difference to their lives.

Enforced quarantine, although understandable, has had a debilitating effect, especially on those with dementia.

Their plight stands in shameful contrast to the £8.5million an hour that Amazon founder Jeff Bezos is estimated to earn.

The company has spent a fortune presenting itself as caring employer. The truth is it is making enormous profits off the back of workers who deserve decency and respect.
