Vivek Agnihotri is currently riding high on the success of his latest film, ‘The Kashmir Files’ which has been going strong at the box-office with each passing day.

Reports were rife that the director has signed Kangana Ranaut for his next movie. Rubbishing all such rumours, the filmmaker told in an interview with a news portal that his films don’t need stars, they need actors. Agnihotri also added that when he started making films 12 years ago, he had decided that he will make his kind of film and it will never be a star-driven movie.

Meanwhile, Kangana not only applauded the film and the performance of the actors but has also been promoting the film through her social media posts.

After doing record business in India, the movie is all set to release in UAE. ‘The Kashmir Files’ has been passed without any cuts there. It will also release in Singapore soon.

The Kashmir Files is based on the true story of the exodus of Kashmiri Pandits in 1990, during the Kashmir insurgency. The film’s cast includes Mithun Chakraborty, Anupam Kher, Darshan Kumaar, Pallavi Joshi and Chinmay Mandlekar.
