American TikToker Hannah Brown has addressed her fans after she was papped attending Charlie Kirk‘s memorial, leading to her losing 120K followers on the platform.
Earlier this week, a memorial service was held for right-wing commentator Charlie Kirk, who was gunned down at a Utah college during a live debate. According to Reuters, the memorial, which took place at State Farm Stadium in Arizona, was at full capacity with many attendees wearing MAGA merch.
US President Donald Trump, Vice President J.D. Vance and former Fox News host Tucker Carlson were also in attendance.

Shortly after the memorial, a photo of TikToker Hannah Brown (@hannahbrown) at the memorial service began to circulate across social media, with some folks accusing the comedian of supporting MAGA.

Since then, Brown, who was nearing one million followers, has lost 120,000 followers after the photo went gangbusters online.
Following the virality of the photo, Brown — known for her skits that have garnered millions of views — has addressed the controversy, claiming to followers that she’s not a MAGA supporter.
“Alright, this is the only time I’m ever going to address this. First of all, I am not MAGA. I was not at a MAGA rally. I went to a memorial for Charlie Kirk, a man who was brutally assassinated in front of thousands of people, a man who has a wife and children who will never get to see him again, and despite our differing beliefs, a man who did not deserve to die,” Brown began.
“I don’t agree with a lot of what Charlie believed. Do I think that means he should be shot and killed? No. And if you disagree with that, we truly have nothing in common.”
The TikToker went on to condemn those who celebrated Kirk’s death, stating she was “so disturbed” to see people “rejoicing” in his death before reiterating she didn’t go to the memorial to “align myself with any political views or to make a political statement”.
“I went to pay my respects to a human that died. And everybody that is attacking me for going to a memorial, really listen to that and think how insane that sounds,” Brown continued.
Brown went on to call those who celebrated Kirk’s death but are against gun violence “hypocrites” and that she was fine with losing followers over her attendance at the memorial.

“If you are against gun violence, which why would you not be, you cannot celebrate when someone you don’t like gets shot. You are a hypocrite. So, if you want to unfollow me, completely fine,” Brown said.
“I would rather have zero followers than have hundreds of thousands of people that would celebrate the death of a man who just wanted to speak. But just know that there is nothing you can take from me that matters. So yeah, that’s really all I have to say about that.”
Towards the end of the video, Brown said, “Jesus is King”, before thanking all her supporters.
“Thank you so much to everyone who is still supporting me and defending me. I love you so much, and I appreciate you. And for the people who are attacking me or unfollowing me, I love you, too,” she said.
In the caption of the video, the TikToker simply wrote “John 15:18”, which refers to a Bible verse that reads: “If the world hates you, keep in mind that it hated me first.”
At the time of writing, the video has been viewed more than 7.7 million times, and her TikTok following count remains at 796.8K. The comments have also been disabled under all of her videos and across her social media accounts.
She hasn’t posted anything since addressing the controversy.
