If it feels like the 2019 NFL Draft happened like two months ago, well, that’s because it did.
But our guy Luke Easterling over at Draft Wire doesn’t sleep and he put together a way-too-early 2020 mock draft.
With the 21st pick, he has the Vikings taking Clemson linebacker Isaiah Simmons.
Simmons plays safety now, but is projected to be a bit of a hybrid at the pro level.
My take: From watching him on film for two minutes, I think he’s going to be good.

That’s my expert take and we’ll certainly hear more about Simmons throughout the 2019 college football season.
As for fit, another playmaker who can play multiple positions seems like a pretty good fit for Mike Zimmer’s defense.
