When Vikings coach Mike Zimmer called Shamar Stephen’s injury to open training camp “basically nothing,” he wasn’t lying.
On Friday, the Vikings removed the defensive tackle from the Non-Football Injury list.
Stephen was brought back to Minnesota with the hope he can help replace Sheldon Richardson, who signed with the Browns this offseason.
While it will be a tall task, the Vikings obviously liked Stephen enough from his first four years in Minnesota before playing with Seattle in 2018 to bring him back.
