Vikings kicking unit continues rocky training camp

If you’ve followed Vikings football over the years, you know the kicker position hasn’t exactly been one of strength.

Here we are in 2019 training camp, and that appears to be the case once again.

Kicker Dan Bailey and the rest of the kicking unit has had a rough camp, and that continued on Wednesday.

Per Courtney Cronin of ESPN, Bailey went 3-for-6 on field goals, two misses with seventh-round pick Austin Cutting snapping.

What exactly does this mean?

I’m not exactly sure, but you’d rather have Bailey make these kicks in practice than miss.

We probably overreact to some of this stuff considering there hasn’t been a game played yet, but it’s hard not to overreact when it comes to Vikings kickers.

We’ll see if this unit can turn things around when the first preseason game is played Friday in New Orleans.
