Video: What is the state of Bellator MMA as PFL sale rumors swirl?

For years, Bellator MMA has been viewed as the No. 2 mixed martial arts promotion in the world. Pretty soon, it could not even exist at all.

In recent months as rumors of a sale have continued to swirl, Bellator president Scott Coker and others have confirmed, at minimum, there are significant business talks taking place. While PFL is a rumored player to potentially acquire Bellator, the promotion continues to put on events, including Saturday’s Bellator 300.

The promotion continues to chug along, at least through November when Bellator 301 is scheduled for Chicago. Beyond that, no events have been publicized.

So how did we end up here? How is it that Bellator is seemingly on the ropes, and why? What’s next?

MMA Junkie’s “Spinning Back Clique” panel of Brian “Goze” Garcia, Dan Tom, and Danny Segura joined host George Garcia contextualize how Bellator got to this point and take a peek into the crystal ball as to what could be next.

Watch their discussion in the video above, and don’t miss this week’s full “Spinning Back Clique” episode below on YouTube or in podcast form.
