Video captures 'despicable' woman tossing bag of PUPPIES into bin

This is the shocking moment a 'despicable' woman casually dumps a plastic bag full of PUPPIES onto a rubbish heap in 30 degree heat.

CCTV caught her throwing the seven three-day-old puppies into a street bin in the US city of Coachella, California, at around 1pm local time on Thursday.

In the video, the dark-haired woman pulls up next to two bins behind the Napa Auto Parts store before getting out clutching the bag.

She then looks into one before nonchalantly tossing the poor pups into the adjacent open rubbish container. She then gets back into her white Jeep and drives off.

Thankfully, a passerby saw the incident and it was reported to the authorities.

Riverside County Department of Animal Services rushed to the scene, where the young dogs - thought to be a terrier mix - were rescued.

Officers say they wouldn't have survived long in the mid-30 degree heat if they had not been alerted.

Police have issued an appeal for information in their bid to track down the woman in the footage.

"His actions were humane and heroic."

"There is no excuse for dumping puppies.

"Especially in today’s age when we or other shelters would be willing to get these animals to foster parents or rescue partners. This was a shameful act."

The seven puppies were taken to a vet who cared for them before they were sent to a southern Californian animal rescue group.
