Victoria Beckham reportedly left Nicola Peltz in tears at her wedding to Brooklyn Beckham by “ruining” the big day.
There have been growing rumours of a feud between Brooklyn, 26, and Nicola, 30, and the rest of the Beckhams, with the couple missing multiple major family events in recent months.
In a new twist, fashion designer Victoria, 51, has been accused of hijacking Nicola’s wedding dance to Brooklyn at their lavish Palm Beach wedding in 2022.
The former Spice Girls star’s “inappropriate” behaviour at the glamorous nuptials allegedly led to Nicola “running from the room crying”.
"Marc Anthony, who is a friend of the Beckhams, offered to perform as a gift at the wedding," a source People.
"Before the song began, Marc Anthony asked Brooklyn to come to the stage, and then announced, 'The most beautiful woman in the room tonight, come on up... Victoria Beckham!'"
Another source claimed Victoria started slow dancing with her son, claiming, “it wasn’t appropriate” and adding: “Nicola ran from the room crying.”
The insider claimed: "Nicola felt like Victoria did this on purpose, when she knew it was a pre-planned romantic dance meant for Brooklyn and Nicola. What she couldn't understand was why."
However, others shared a different version of events, claiming Marc Anthony called Victoria up to dance with Brooklyn and David to dance with their daughter Harper, 13.
The source told The Sun that Brooklyn and Nicola’s first dance happened after the speeches and reception dinner.
They stated: "After this, Nicola had a dance with her father Nelson, which is normally when the groom would dance with his mum, but for whatever reason that didn’t happen.
"Much later, as a gift to the couple, Marc Anthony performed a few songs and everyone got up to dance.
"As part of this he pulled his best friends David and Victoria up on stage with him and then grabbed Brooklyn to dance with his mum and Harper danced with David, Cruz also got up with Eva Longoria as I recall. It was a fun family moment and one dance.”
The Standard has contacted representatives for Nicola and Victoria for comment.
Brooklyn and Nicola raised eyebrows when they failed to attend Victoria’s 51st birthday in Miami last month.
They also skipped David’s lavish 50th birthday party earlier this month, which was attended by Brooklyn’s siblings Romeo, 22, Cruz, 20, and Harper,13.
The US-based couple snubbed David’s birthday party in London despite being in the capital at the time as well as his festivities in the Cotswolds and in Paris.
Brooklyn intensified the rift speculation by saying he will “always choose” Nicola in a “pointed” tribute to his partner on Instagram last week.
He shared a video of himself and Nicola on a motorcycle ride in Los Angeles and wrote in the caption: “My whole world x
“I will love you forever x I always choose you baby x you're the most amazing person I know xx me and you forever baby.”
