Victoria Beckham has shared a sweet birthday message to her daughter Harper as the youngest member of the Beckham family turned 14 on Thursday.
The fashion designer, 51, took to Instagram to post a string of photos spanning Harper’s childhood, calling her “my world” in an emotional tribute.
“Happy birthday to my world!! You are my everything and I’m so proud of the strong, confident, kind and talented young lady you are becoming,” Victoria wrote.
“You’re my best friend and I’m so lucky I get to be your mummy. We love you so so much!! Enjoy your special day!! Kisses @davidbeckham xxx.”
The carousel of images included a throwback of Harper, another of her riding on a motorbike with her dad David, and a tender beach moment where she had written “I love mummy and daddy” in the sand.
Victoria also included a short video of Harper singing Carly Rae Jepsen’s Call Me Maybe, and a baby photo of David holding his daughter close.
Harper’s older brother Romeo, 21, was quick to mark the occasion too, sharing a photo of the pair at an event and writing: “Happy 14th to the most amazing human there is, love you always and forever.”
In a surprise early post, Cruz Beckham’s girlfriend Jackie Apostel also joined the birthday tributes, uploading a sunny snapshot of her and Harper relaxing on a yacht.
“Happy 14th birthday beautiful girl!” she wrote, later adding another photo of the pair backstage at Victoria’s Paris Fashion Week show last September.
Tensions within the Beckham family continue to draw scrutiny as insiders feared the strained relationship between David and Victoria and their eldest son Brooklyn may have cast a shadow over daughter Harper’s 14th birthday.
Sources close to the family claim that Brooklyn, 25, and his wife Nicola Peltz, 30, appear to have distanced themselves from Harper in recent months.
One particular incident raised eyebrows when the couple flew into London in May to film an advert for Moncler, just over a mile from the Beckhams’ Holland Park home but reportedly didn’t visit or reach out to Harper during their stay.
According to MailOnline, David and Victoria are said to be in the dark about whether Brooklyn, who Harper has “idolised” since childhood, will reach out to her at all, privately or publicly, as they’re currently not in contact with him.
The ongoing friction appears to have played out subtly on social media.
On Wednesday, Brooklyn shared a cooking video set to a song about finding the confidence to speak out, a post some have interpreted as a thinly veiled statement.
That same day, Nicola posted photos wearing a replica pair of David Beckham’s iconic 1990s England football shorts while holidaying on her family’s superyacht in the South of France.
Nicola also shared a series of gushing posts about her father, billionaire businessman Nelson Peltz, and her brothers during the trip, showcasing the tight-knit dynamic of the Peltz family, in sharp contrast to her husband's public silence on recent Beckham family milestones.
The couple’s appearance at Nelson’s birthday celebrations also drew comparisons to David’s own 50th birthday in May, which they missed.
In what some have seen as a subtle dig, Romeo recently posted a pointed message about valuing the people who love you. “Life is too short,” he wrote, “not to tell people you care about them.”
