Victim left with fractured cheekbone and eye socket after bumping into someone in nightclub

Police have released a CCTV image of a man they want to speak to following a "nasty and unprovoked assault" inside a nightclub.

The incident took place in Rush Nightclub, in Clumber Street, Mansfield, shortly after 3am on Saturday, March 14 when a man was punched in the face after bumping into someone.

PC Daniel Vasper, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “This was a nasty and unprovoked assault that left a young man with a fractured cheekbone and eye socket.

"I know that some time has passed since this incident but we are determined to get justice for the victim in this case.

“We believe the man pictured in this CCTV images may be able to help us with our enquiries.
