Victim left with broken jaw after being attacked in pub toilet and dancefloor

A victim had their jaw broken in a serious assault after two attacks in a pub toilet and dancefloor.

The incident happened at around midnight on June 16 at the Old Post Office Public House in Kirk Gate, Newark.

The victim was punched numerous times to the head whilst on the dance floor and then a short while later was further assaulted in the toilets by the same man.

They suffered a broken jaw and required hospital treatment. It was not revealed whether the victim was a male or female.

The offender is described as a white man, aged late 20s, about 5’9 tall, large build and with short dark hair.

He was wearing a plain black t-shirt and black trousers.

Police are seeking witnesses to the serious assault and are appealing for information.

Several people helped break up the fight on the dance floor.

A Nottinghamshire Police spokesman said: "If you are one of these people or have any knowledge of this incident please contact Nottinghamshire police on 101 quoting incident number 18 of 16 June 2019.
