Vicky Pattison supported after struggling to share 'inspiring' and candid post about journey to becoming a mum

Vicky Pattison has been flooded with support after sharing an 'inspiring' and candid post about her journey to becoming a parent with her fiancé, Ercan Ramdan. The former Geordie Shore star shared in April that she had decided to have her eggs frozen.

She said at the time that while it wasn't the right time for her to have children yet, her body 'doesn't have the luxury of loads of time' and she had realised that 'in her heart' that she wants to have kids. Vicky had already made the first step towards having the procedure, which preserves a woman's fertility so she can try and have children at a later date, by going for tests.

But now, the former I'm a Celebrity Queen of the Jungle has officially started the process as she visited a clinic to undergo fertility testing and will be fertilising eggs. Writing on Instagram, Vicky said she had been struggling to share her latest update without crying.

However, sharing a snap of herself and Ercan standing outside a clinic, Vicky wrote on Instagram: "Last week @ercan_ram and I took our first proper steps to hopefully adding to our family in the future. I haven't posted about this as I haven't really known what to say and stupidly everytime I do start typing about it, I cry - and I really haven't needed more of a reason to be tearful recently with my bloody period still making me seem completely emotionally unstable.

She went on to say: "Anyway, I just wanted to say a big Thankyou to the amazing team at @londonwomensclinic who were so kind, understanding and just lovely to us as we were pretty nervous and emotional.."

Alongside photos of some of the elements of the first steps to freezing her eggs, Vicky explained: "We each had a series of scans and tests- I've got to be honest, it was a sight to behold watching erc toddle off clutching his little cup for his 'sample'. And luckily we're all healthy and in a good position to prepare for the egg retrieval process in the new year!

"Then if everything goes to plan we'll make our gorgeous little embryos and our frozen family will be there waiting for us When we do decide to start that next chapter of lives." Vicky also revealed that they'll be documenting their journey.

"I want women to be aware that there is more than one route to motherhood and happiness- but we have to understand more about our OWN bodies first and I think there's a real lack of honest information out there- and we also have to understand that every woman's experience with having children or trying to have children is different," she shared.

"In the new year I will be doing my best to share every step of this process with you- chronicling the highs and the lows of our embryo freezing process- just to give those ladies out there thinking about doing it an accurate understanding of how it can look! It will be shared on the @lorraine show.

"In the interim, I know the process itself, the injections, the hormones, everything although slightly different for everyone, can be tough so any advice any who's been there can give me is super welcome." And Vicky was quickly inundated with supportive messages.

Former Love Island star Laura A nderson said: "Exciting times huni. You’re on a rollercoaster but with your love. I wish you all the luck in the world. Having emotions is an incredible thing, be kind to yourself, take those meds and I’m sure mini v & e will be along when the time for you is just right. So much more to say but for now, huge praise to you for sharing thus far. All my love."

Bianca Gascoigne commented: " Love this so much." Another former Love Island star Amy Hart wrote: "A lways here for questions as you know. Loads of love to you both." Married at First Sight UK 2022 star Thomas Hartley also added: "You’re brave and beautiful."
