Vicky Pattison gets emotional as she discusses her egg treatment in brand-new Lorraine segment

Vicky Pattison today gave viewers of ITV's Lorraine a first hand look inside of her egg retrieval and freezing process, as the Wallsend-born celeb puts her plans of children on the backburner until the time is right. Vicky and her fiance Ercan Ramadan have been incredibly open on their journey thus far - prioritising engagement and marriage over children until they feel ready to have them.

And in a brand new segment on Lorraine's show this morning, Vicky gave viewers a highly emotional view into her journey thus far, educating women across the UK on IVF treatment while doing so.

Introducing the segment, Lorraine, 63, said: "Now, with more women freezing their eggs, we've got an exclusive this week with reality star Vicky Pattison. At the age of 35 she does want to be a mum one day, but only when the time is right for her and her fiance.

"So, we have been following her as she undergoes the procedure."

The show then panned from the studio to a clip of Vicky detailing how she was about to begin the egg freezing process. Speaking to the camera, the former Geordie Shore star, said: "I am about to start the egg freezing process. I got really serious about it last year and started speaking to my mam about it."

Vicky's mum, sat alongside her, added: "When you first told me about it, I don't think I quite understood - until you explained the process and all about it."

The segment then panned to Vicky's hubby-to-be, Ercan, who added: "When she first mentioned it, I was a bit like Vicky's mum. We don't need it, we're going to be fine. But the older you get the harder it is to have children, so it's a difficult one but we'll get through it.

"And women out there - hopefully it encourages them and it helps them understand like we have."

On the treatment process, Vicky went on: "If you look at at like my mam's generation right, they were completely made to believe that they went to school, they met a fella from their area that they liked, they fell in love with them, got married, had kids...but things have changed. Women want more.

"The world is so accepting of that now, but the only thing that hasn't changed is this ticking time clock - this biological clock that we are beholding to - and it's scary."

The 35-year-old then went on to explain that she and Ercan don't feel ready to be parents as of yet, citing how she wants to enjoy the fiancé and wife stage before settling down and finally starting a family. Getting teary, she continued: "We kind of don't feel ready for the being parents stage.

"I want to enjoy being his fiancé, I want to enjoy being his wife - and then when the time's right, I want to enjoy being a mother. So yeah."

The show then panned to a clip of Vicky and Ercan at a clinic, where she received tests to 'make sure everything is okay'. Ercan also received a semen analysis before the segment showed Vicky outside of the London Women's Clinic before her final scan to get the green light to have eggs retrieved and frozen.

Lying on a medical bed with her eggs on a screen in front of her, an overjoyed Vicky wiped away the tears as she said: "I'm really emotional. It could have something to do with all of the hormones.

"These little rascals are going to be my babies one day. Yeah, that is a lot isn't it you know? So I'm over the moon that they're chubby, and that they're growing."
