Line of Duty star Vicky McClure looks like she’s having a blast as she jumps on a police bike – but the role she is filming is much more serious.
Vicky plays bomb disposal expert Lana Washington in new ITV six-parter Trigger Point, which focuses on the work of the Met Police’s Explosive Ordnance Disposal teams.
Known as Expo, officers risk their lives daily on “the long walk” towards danger.
Vicky, 38 – best known as DI Kate Fleming in BBC cop series Line of Duty – is seen close to breaking point as she tackles improvised devices in a summer terror campaign in London.
So it’s just as well she was able to break the tension on set as she laughed and joked with colleagues – it’s no place to have a short fuse…

Vicky is one of television's biggest stars right now thanks to her role as DI Fleming .
Before taking the part in the hit BBC crime drama, 37-year-old Vicky starred in series such as This Is England, Five Daughters, and The Body Farm.
The Nottingham-born actress has, of course, been super busy filming various seasons of Line of Duty in recent years but she also likes to keep her fans up-to-date with her life offscreen as well.
Vicky has a very active Instagram page with 489,00 followers and often gives them a glimpse into her activities behind the scenes.
On her new show, ITV Head of Drama, Polly Hill, said: "Trigger Point has you on the edge of your seat from the start.

"It's a brilliant script by Daniel and I can't believe this is his first commission.
"I'm delighted to be working with Jed who knows better than anyone how to bring these thrillers to screen and Vicky is the perfect Lana.
"It's a fabulous team and an exciting show for ITV.”
