A Melbourne mother has faced court accused of killing her baby boy.
Alyssa Nguyen, also known as Bao Tram Anh Nguyen, is charged with infanticide over the death of her six-month-old son Spencer Jordan Recto.
The baby died at Mernda on May 20 this year.
Nugyen faced Melbourne Magistrates Court on Tuesday morning. Court documents reveal she was charged in June.
It's alleged she committed "conduct that caused the death of her child ... in circumstances that amount to infanticide".
The 37-year-old from Burnley is due to return to court in December.
