Vegan cake and coffee shop opens in Marchmont police box this weekend

Vegans and coffee lovers will soon have a new stop-off point in Marchmont, perfect for a morning snack and light lunch.

Missy's Vegan Cake Box is opening on Marchmont Crescent at the weekend, taking over a police box.

The family-run bakery's food is all plant based as well as egg and dairy free.

They're already known for some of their extravagant confectionery creations such as chocolate-dipped strawberry gateaus, and treats like sandwich cookies.

Expect vegan cheese cakes, cupcakes and carrot cakes, as well as savoury snacks like vegan sausage rolls.

The cake box is opening at 10am on Sunday, May 5 and will usually be open between 8am and 4pm most days.
