Vaping chain VPZ to invest £12 million in doubling store estate to 300

Edinburgh-based vaping chain VPZ has announced plans to invest £12 million over the next two years as it doubles its store estate.

The firm - UK’s largest vaping retailer - says it has sold more than 250,000 starter kits in the last two years alone. It was founded in 2012 by Edinburgh brothers Callum and Connor Henderson and now has around 150 outlets.

Director of manufacturing and compliance Doug Mutter said: “In the space of only seven years the company has grown from one shop to over 150 across the UK from Inverness to Penzance. The growth is founded from our roots with the help of our incredible staff, who take real pride and a passionate interest in helping smokers quit through vaping.

“Whilst most businesses are abandoning the High Street, VPZ is investing in local shops and local people. We are passionate believers in the need for having bricks and mortar stores to ensure we are providing direct support and advice through the availability of our staff and our customers value having an expert on hand to help them make the best decisions.”
