Van stopped by police after being driven 30mph on Nottinghamshire motorway - without insurance too

A vehicle has been seized by police after it was driven at 30mph on the motorway - all while having no insurance. The stop was made by the Beeston specials policing team, they announced on Monday, March 28.

The van had a damaged gearbox but its driver, who has since been reported by the police, still decided to drive it home. It was stopped after police spotted it was being driven very slowly on both a dual carriageway and a motorway, only going at a speed of 30mph.

Nottinghamshire Police Special Constables said in a post: "The vehicle was stopped by SGT Dilks due to the manner of driving and slow speed on a dual carriageway after exiting the motorway.
