Van smashes through Santander bank - but bizarrely suspects don't go inside

A van smashed through the front window of a Pudsey bank - but the suspects driving it didn't bother going into the branch.

The van caused significant damage to the Santander branch near the junction of Church Lane and Lidget Hill, Pudsey, in a failed ram-raid attempt early on Monday morning.

West Yorkshire Police were called at 2:15am after the front window of the branch was destroyed.

According to police two men got out of the van, yet did not proceed with entering the bank. A third man then picked the men up in a silver car.

The van was abandoned at the scene, and police are now searching for the three suspects.

One of the suspects is described as a white male, around 6ft and wearing a black Adidas jacket with its hood up and scarf over his face.

The second is described as a white male, around 6ft and was wearing a purple jacket, bobble hat and with a scarf over his face.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101, quoting crime reference 13190398151.
